My relationship with style began long before I ever thought of it as work.
Growing up in Ghana, I was surrounded by color, pattern, texture and beautiful ways of dressing. Clothing had presence. People understood how to use it to celebrate, to express themselves and to be seen.
As I got older, my taste expanded. I became just as drawn to beautiful tailoring, exceptional fabrics, clean lines and the kind of simplicity that feels intentional rather than plain. I never felt I had to choose between the two, and that still shapes my eye today.
When I work with a client, I want to understand her before I decide what I see her wearing. I pay attention to what she reaches for, what she avoids, what she saves and what she says she wants. Sometimes I notice things she hasn’t put into words yet, and I’ll offer them gently. She decides what rings true.
I bring my eye and intuition to that, but I have no interest in turning her into my idea of a stylish woman. I want her wardrobe to feel unmistakably like her.
